I am going to let everyone in HR in on a little secret. If you are paying for advertising that your recruitment partner is doing for you then you have a great opportunity to train your salespeople. Let them meet your recruitment partner and ask them how they get you to pay for something that should cost you nothing and at the same time guarantee half the service level required for your work.
You see if your recruitment firm is getting you to pay for advertising with your name on it you have been sold by some talent greater than yours. Basically you have let your recruitment firm to do less work for you on your positions and paid them for the privilege.
Of course they will sell you on how your logo in their ads is good for you. Raises the number of responses, provides brand awareness etc, etc but do you really believe that? Seriously? They are now going to sift through responses and send you some resumes, pocket the rest and count their money. Are they motivated to go out and directly source candidates for you when you do this? Of course they aren't. You are basically buying an administration service when you do this. Someone to sift through resumes. That is not what you should be using a recruitment firm for in this day and age. You should be using a recruitment firm to provide you with "above average" talent.
By the way if you can't look at a resume and work out whether or not they are good fit for an initial interview within your business it won't be long before you have bigger problems than just paying recruiting firms for doing administration.
